First-Ever!  SA Mini Bullies Strut
Their Stuff in Specialist Show Cape Town:
On the bright, gusty morning of Saturday, the 17th of October,
a bunch of Mini Bullies from the Lusahn Kennels of Malmesbury
were gathered at the Theo Marais Park in Milnerton to
participate in the Western Province Bull Terrier Club
Show.  This is the first time in South Africa that
Miniature Bull Terriers were to compete against Standard Bull
Terriers in a specialist show. The Minis had to bide their  time
while expert Bull Terrier Judge, Mr Dirk Rupping of Narciano
Bull Terriers in Sasolburg put the Standard Bull Terriers
through their paces. In the sunburned afternoon,
these special little dogs got their chance to shine in the
                  ring.

Lusahn Tiny Morris, a.k.a. Morris Minor
(left) was the sole Miniature Bull Terrier Puppy competitor,
and he went on to win Best Miniature Bull Terrier Junior Dog
against his kennel-mate Lusahn Tiny Red Baron a.k.a.
Wiele. CH Little Chili Peppers Pole Position of
Galloway of Lusahn a.k.a. Eddy was the sole Miniature Bull
                  Terrier Open Dog
            competitor.
CH Double Dutch From Friar's Point of
Lusahn a.k.a. Deedee (left) competed in Miniature Bull Terrier
Open Bitches, which was won by CH April Snow of New Galloway
                  of Lusahn a.k.a. April (right).
Then it was time for Best of Breed for the
                  Minis…

Eddy, Deedee, April and Morris all got to
                  strut their stuff again.

April and Morris continued to impress the
Judge, and they were put forward to compete against the
Standards for Best in Show and Best Puppy in Show,
                  respectively.

Young Morris put on fine showing against
the winner, Lily, a delightful Standard also from the Lusahn
                  Kennels.

April was a worthy competitor against the
                  Standard Champion Chloe Reithsons Clarieece.
All in all, it was a great day out, and
the Mini Bullies were notable for their bright and cheerful
                  demeanours.
