This is one of only a few books available that is dedicated only to the Miniature Bull Terrier. It is written by BJ Andrews who is responsible for the revival of the Miniature Bull terrier in America (after marginal interest in the breed up until the 1960s). BJ restored the defunct Miniature Bull Terrier Club of America in 1985, and mainly due to her efforts and those she inspired, the Miniature Bull Terrier was given American Kennel Club breed status in 1991. The book is written is a casual, conversational tone and the first half of the book documenting the history of the breed is fascinating. The second half of the book follows a similar format to other owner’s-manual-type dog books but throughout there are  valuable pieces of advice that come from the author’s vast experience. The book is full of lovely colour photographs all of which are enhanced by a spot-varnish finish. For a Miniature Bull Terrier fancier, this book is a must-have.
